Winter Storm Watch: NWS thinks 5-8"

When the Weather Service Issues their forecast this afternoon, I would expect Winter Storm Watches set up for places south of I-95 in JErsey and in Delaware, primarily in the areas where the warning criteria is FOUR inches of snow in 12 hours.
Philadelphia and Delaware County are also in this 4" snow criteria and I think there is a chance they MAY get included in the watch, but at this time I'm leaning against it.
The map above shows the warning criteria for our area. That is what will be key in the forecast. Since it looks now that most places S and E of Philadelphia are going to get hit (by my guestimates and by some of the model thinking, I believe you'll see some watches raised late this afternoon and the hype machine to kick on the news tonight.

Update, 5:30 PM:

Winter Storm Watch set up for the 4" warning criteria area plus Monmouth County. While I think the NWS forecast totals are high for Philadelphia (5-8" call), I see the logic in the watches being issued and in their forecast.
