Doug Melegari joined Phillyweather.net in June 2010. He's a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey and is the Assistant Skywarn Coordinator for Burlington County, New Jersey. An assistant Skywarn Coordinator works with spotters from all across the county in which you are responsible for and also coordinates with the head coordinator. There are several trained weather spotters throughout the Philadelphia area.
Doug was the weather anchor at Seneca High School in South Jersey from February 2006 to June 2008. While the weatherman at Seneca, Doug interviewed several well known names to the weather world such as Dr. Steve Lyons from The Weather Channel, Dean Gulezian, the Eastern Director of NOAA; and Bill Proenza, former director of the National Hurricane Center. Doug also was a sideline sports reporter for the Lenape District Television Channel from January 2007 to June 2008.
Doug graduated from Seneca High School in June of 2008 and is currently pursing a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.
