Steady Rain Tapering To Showers

Sunday Morning conditions will be rainy with temperatures in the mid and upper 50's. As the cold front passes through and a cold pool of air aloft moves over us, some showers are possible into the afternoon along with a few breaks in the clouds in between those showers. A rumble of thunder is also possible in any shower. Temperatures will end up being in the mid and upper 60's for most except Extreme South Jersey where temperatures will be in the low 70's.

Tonight, temperatures will drop into the 45-53 range for nearly the entire region and any leftover showers and storms should move out of the region or dry up with the loss of afternoon heating.

This week look to be more or less dry, with the exception of a shower chance on Wednesday afternoon or evening as a cool front moves through. Temperatures will warm from the 68-73 range on Monday to 75-80 by Wednesday before cooling down a touch on the backside of the front. Next weekend looks sunny and seasonable with cool nights and mild afternoons. More importantly, it looks dry (compared to this weekend!). After Wednesday, things look dry until around the 9th or 10th when a cold front looks to be moving through.

In the tropics, Hurricane Isaac spins in the Central Atlantic and is of no threat to the US, but might be a threat to Newfoundland by Monday night or Tuesday AM as it begins to merge with a trough and turn extratropical. There are a few other blobs in the Tropics but nothing of imminent threat to the US at this point.
