February 5th, 2007 Forecast

At least it will not be as cold as it was Sunday morning in Embarrass, MN, where it was -42. We could see subzero readings at Mount Pocono for Monday AM or Tuesday AM but with the wind combined with lows in the single digits, it will feel close to or below zero for the entire region.
This should be the coldest day of the stretch in Philadelphia with temperatures likely to stay just short of 20 with a gusty west wind. Like I have been saying, the lack of snowcover has been the saving grace -- we would be looking at a much colder stretch of weather around these parts had we been blessed with a few inches of snow on the ground.
We have some clipper potential for the southern half of the region Tuesday night but not much in the way of snow is expected.
