January Blowtorch Part Trois

Philadelphia again did not set a record high today, ending up four degrees short of a record with a high temperature of 65 degrees today. Temperatures in much of the region peaked in the 60's again today for the third consecutive day.

How rare are three consecutive days in the 60's?
Going back 50 years, this is only the 7th time in Philadelphia where we have seen temperatures top 60 degrees on three or more straight days. It has not happened around here since the craptastic (for snow lovers) winter of 2001-2002, when we had those days near 70 degrees at the end of January. Not even in the intense warmth of last January did we see three straight days over 60 although it did happen five times in the first half of the month.
