Don't Mess With Texas' Heat
A hot blast of desert air encompassed the Lone Star State on Monday thanks to dry and gusty winds from the west. Temperatures rose to near 100 degrees in parts of South Texas and almost to 90 in Dallas/Fort Worth earlier today. We had a mini blowtorch of sorts around here today as well (I'm joking of course as it pales in comparison to what Texas got to deal with). Philadelphia's 49 degree high was the warmest it has been in a week and the first day since Tuesday where the high temperature broke 40 degrees. Believe it or not, the five day stretch of high temperatures in the 30's from Wednesday through Sunday was the longest of the winter so far.
