No Repeat Of Yesterday...
We shouldn't see a repeat of yesterday's cloudy start and windy finish around the Delaware Valley today. While clouds will not be covering the entire sky this morning, such as the case in yesterday's photo of the Comcast Center up above, and we will see bright sunshine from the get-go today, temperatures will be much cooler in parts of the region as we wake up to readings in the mid 30's in some of the suburbs outside of Philadelphia.Philadelphia's 5 AM reading of 47 degrees is much warmer than the surrounding areas as skies over the immediate Philadelphia region were mostly cloudy for a time overnight, plus the "heat island" was helping to warm the city somewhat compared to surrounding areas. Pottstown was at 36 degrees with mostly clear skies so the difference between the heat island and surrounding areas is standing out this morning.
Expect temperatures to warm to 60 or so before the day is out.
