Updated 5 PM: More damage reports from the National Weather Service. As of 5 PM, 45,000 were reported without power in the Delaware Valley, with the highest numbers in New Jersey. Philadelphia's highest wind gust was 49 mph at 8:26 AM. The noon time wind was gusting to 46.
While the storm itself has not been a significant rain event in the Philadelphia area as less than a quarter of an inch of rain has fallen so far, the wind has been a huge player with numerous trees down and coastal areas dealing with flooding from the high surge driven by east winds into the coastline.
