Hurricane Kyle Moving Towards Maine and Canada

Kyle has been upgraded to a hurricane as of 5 PM Saturday evening, sporting 75 mph winds. Kyle is located about halfway between Bermuda and the US Coastline and is moving quickly northward. Based on its current track, Kyle should brush the Maine coastline and come ashore in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued for the Maine coastline as a result.

Kyle will not bring any impacts to our region other than some rough surf as it will be far enough to the east of us. It will eventually help bring the end of the current morass of drizzle and showers as Kyle's circulation will help push dry air down from New York State and will help pull the coastal low and morass out to sea. We'll see another day of drear and scattered showers on Sunday around here as a weak frontal boundary will hang over the area and help set off showers through the day, with the frontal pulling off the coast as Kyle moves past us late tomorrow.
