Say Goodbye To Kyle

What was once Hurricane Kyle is transitioning into an extratropical system as it races through Eastern Canada late this Sunday night and early Monday. Kyle was pounding Nova Scotia with winds up to 75 mph earlier this evening and rains out in front of Kyle had caused some flooding in Maine and other parts of Eastern Canada, with 5 1/2" falling in parts of Maine over the last three days.

Some damage has been reported in parts of Nova Scotia from Kyle. Nova News Now seems to have a good handle on reporting the storm as it moves through the province.

The last hurricane of note to strike Canada was Hurricane Juan in 2003, which caused $100 million in damage in the Halifax region.
