September 29th, 2008 Forecast

Now: A wide swath of showers are continuing across Central and Eastern Pennsylvania, with lesser areas of showers across New Jersey and the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is humid out with dewpoints in the mid and upper 60's. In some areas the sun has broken out and temperatures have responded in kind...however, there are clouds over the majority of the region.

Tonight: It should remain mainly cloudy with showers most widespread and most likely in the evening. Showers should taper off as the night continues, with areas of fog and low clouds continuing through the night. Low temperatures will be generally between 60 and 64.
Monday: I have a slight chance for showers in the forecast as we will still have some residual moisture around but I think the odds of this are low. Skies will start mostly cloudy but we should see some additional sunshine as we move into the afternoon. In response, temperatures will warm into the mid and upper 70's in what likely will be the warmest day we have this week.
The Week Ahead: Our next cold front will move through on Wednesday morning with a chance for rain Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Clouds will increase on Tuesday afternoon in advance of the front, with rain moving through as soon as late afternoon or the evening. Once the front clears, we'll have an upper level trough over the East, with cooler air slipping south Thursday only to be reinforced with a second frontal boundary on Friday morning that will bring some frost to the Poconos and perhaps Lehigh Valley Friday night.
