A Soggy Pattern For Some, Despite The Drear For All
Over the past week, parts of our area have seen some pretty substantial rainfall totals. While Philadelphia itself has only seen about three-quarters of an inch of rain, some locations not too far away from us have seen over four inches of rainfall. Lancaster has seen nearly three inches of rain just in the last three days, with isolated higher amounts located west of Harrisburg and York in Central PA.Along the coast, some areas in Ocean and Monmouth Counties have seen over 3" of rain, with the majority of that falling Thursday night and Friday with the initial impacts of the coastal low.
While compared to average rainfall, you can see that portions of the area that ran below normal over the course of the past week, despite four day of continued drear across the region. The areas that ran below average are mostly run from Millville to Philadelphia to Allentown, where many places received about a half inch of rain over the course of the four days.More: Graphics are from the AHPS at NOAA.
