A Record-Breaking (sort of) Day

Today's trace of snowfall ties a record with November 18th, 1901 and 1912 for "most" snowfall on this date. Those flurries blew through and hit the Airport sensor during the middle of the afternoon today as they marched south and southeast on cold, gusty winds.

Today's high temperature of 40 degrees was also pretty unprecedented. It tied for the sixth coldest high temperature (4th actual reading) on this date. The only dates that were colder were in 1959 (32) , 1891 (35), 1924 (35), 1914 (38), and 1980 (38).

The record low temperature for today and tomorrow is 20 degrees, a bit too low for record potential around Philadelphia but our morning lows in the upper 20's will still be pretty darn cold by mid November standards.
