Rehashing Friday's Storm

A potent December storm brought rain, ice, and snow to the Delaware Valley on Friday. Philadelphia received 0.80" of rainfall from the storm and Pottstown received over an inch of rain as well. This storm system was a quick mover, in during the morning commute and out of here at the tail end of the evening rush hour.

Snowfall totals were highest to the north of Philadelphia, with 9" of snow at East Stroudsburg and nearly 5" in parts of Northampton County, PA. Philadelphia did not receive any snow but there was sleet mixing in across the northern suburbs, with Hatboro, Montgomeryville, and Skippack all receiving some sleet from this storm system. Freezing rain was an issue in parts of Berks and Upper Montgomery and Bucks Counties, with quarter inch icing in parts of Upper Montco from the storm as well.
