June 11th, 2009 Forecast
Now: A mix of haze, clouds, and sun throughout the region today in the wake of yesterday's thunder. Temperatures vary a good bit from northeast to southwest, with warmer temperatures back to the southwest in the warm sector where sunshine has been more prevalent. North and northeast of Philadelphia, clouds have held in place much longer and temperatures are cooler as a weak warm front is the "defacto" boundary between 81 in Wilmington and the low 70's across the northeast suburbs. Temperatures will end up a few degrees warmer before the day is out but may struggle to reach 80 in the city itself.Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms should move towards us overnight, with the most numerous activity to the north and west of Philadelphia. However, anyone in the region could see a storm after midnight. Skies will generally go back to mostly cloudy and it will remain somewhat muggy overnight with lows in the lower to middle 60's across the area.
Thursday: Another day, another chance for thunderstorms. Some of these could again be severe, with the most numerous thunderstorm activity expected in the afternoon. I'll post on this later this evening. High temperatures will range from mid 70's north of Philly to the low 80's south, with a high of 79 in Philadelphia.

With a stalled out frontal boundary generally lurking in the area through Friday, thunderstorms continue to remain in the forecast for the next few days. While some days, such as Thursday, will feature a higher likelihood of thunderstorm activity compared to others, the chance for storms is there pretty much every day through at least Monday. After Thursday and Friday's system, the next significant thunder threat looks to be Sunday night into Monday.
