June 9th, 2009 Forecast
Now: Thunderstorms are trying to pop up across the region in an unstable and relatively humid airmass. Temperatures are running at or slightly above 80, with heat index values (first time I've used that term this summer!) running around or just shy of 85 degrees. Storms will continue to fire up across parts of the region through the remainder of the afternoon.Tonight: It will feel humid tonight as a warm airmass holds in place across the region. Scattered areas of thunderstorms and showers will continue into the evening, with more possible later tonight as thunderstorm activity over Ohio works east. Temperatures will be warm tonight, generally in the mid 60's.
Tuesday: With a frontal boundary working east into this humid airmass, thunderstorms will continue (especially in the afternoon). Some of those storms may be severe with large hail and damaging winds. Temperatures will continue to be humid and rather warm, ranging from the lower 80's south/east of Philly (inland areas), to the mid 80's north/west.

A chance of thunderstorms will continue in the forecast for Wednesday, although right now that chance looks to be an isolated/scattered type of event. Thursday and Friday AM provide the next chance for thunderstorms, with some of the storms on Thursday possibly heavy once again.
