Updating Saturday's Thunderstorm Activity

Weather radar up above is tracking Saturday's shower and thunderstorm activity as it impacts the region today. Storms may be most numerous in the midday and afternoon hours but are going to be around through much of the day across Pennsylvania, with New Jersey seeing more storms in the afternoon than in the morning. Some storms may be severe across the region, with damaging winds and hail. An outside chance for a tornado is possible as well across the area. In terms of areas "at risk," the highest chances for any severe weather are generally shaping up south of I-78 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Heavy rains may accompany those thunderstorms as well and the potential for some streams going over their banks is possible across the area, especially in Central and North Jersey where the ground has a lower capacity to handle rainfall than in other areas.
