Tracking Showers and Storms
Radar up above will track shower and thunderstorm activity as it develops in a scattered fashion across parts of the region. A weak trough is expected to cross the region during the later afternoon and evening hours, acting as a trigger for those showers/storms. Severe activity does not seem likely as the best dynamics and instability will be over Upstate New York and parts of New England; however, a few storms could be gusty or contain a brief downpour as they move on through.
Any storm activity that does fire up should move to the east and southeast through the course of the afternoon or early evening hours.
