Forecast for Black Friday, November 25, 2011

I hope everyone is enjoying their turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy right now or did enjoy the meal earlier today! We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

It will be a great Friday and Saturday! Get out and shop until you drop! Highs will be in the mid and upper sixties with abundant sunshine. Some isolated 70 degree readings are possible in the warmest locales.

Sunday....a cold front with a wave of low pressure developing along it will approach in the evening hours. This front will linger into Monday Morning. A round of heavy rain, gusty winds, and possible low-topped thunderstorms may occur with this. A quick inch or two of rain is possible in less than six hours which may pose a risk for flash flooding.

The Euro Model has been depicting a possible troublemaker for Wednesday and Thursday, while the GFS model has us under the influence of high pressure. We will need to watch this very closely...especially since the temperature profile will be borderline in parts of the area.
