February 24th, 2012 Forecast

Tonight: Rain developing between 10 PM and 1 AM in Philadelphia. It will be a mild night with lows only dropping into the upper 40s. Winds will generally be from the east at 5 to 15 mph. The sunset this evening is at 5:46 PM.

Friday:  Uncertainty abounds with how warm we get in the Philly suburbs...recent computer guidance has suggested the warm front push might get hung up to the north of the city, which will limit just how warm it gets in Upper Montco and Bucks.  It wouldn't surprise us if temperatures varied by 15 to 20 degrees between Philly and Allentown tomorrow afternoon.   Showers will linger into the morning, tapering for a time, with sunshine breaking out for Philly and points south.  It will become windy by late afternoon and a few thundershowers can't be ruled out in the later afternoon hours. The high will be in the mid-60s in Philadelphia, but points south and east could reach the lower 70s! Winds will start off from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. In the afternoon, they will shift out of the west and increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts near 40 mph.

Saturday: Colder and windy. Sunshine in the morning will yield to increasing afternoon clouds. High only in the mid-40s, although that is seasonable for this time of year.

Sunday: Sunny skies and seasonable with less wind. High near 45 degrees.
