Mild Midweek Malaise

The mild midweek surge is officially upon us this morning -- temperatures out of the gate this morning are about 15 to 20 degrees milder, depending on location, than yesterday at this time.  Helps that there are some clouds in place over the region to help insulate and keep temperatures up but the trend towards milder weather is upon us again.   Temperatures from Philly on south are in the 40's this early morning, with 30's to the north and northwest.

Today could feature intervals of clouds and sun -- starting off cloudy to mostly cloudy, going mostly sunny around midday and into the afternoon, with clouds increasing again towards dinner as a weak disturbance tracks east through the region.  A weak surface "cold" front will hang up across the region, allowing this disturbance to shoot through with a few showers overnight.   The disturbance helps to pump the front to our north and sets up our mildest of days tomorrow -- 60-65 is looking more and more likely across the entire region.  Today, though, "just" 55-60...58 to be exact in Philly, with a shot at 60 down across Delaware and across interior sections of South Jersey.   Mild west and southwest breezes at 10 to 16 miles per hour will help pump those temperatures up region-wide.   It's going to be a very nice midday and afternoon around here once these clouds lift.
