Mild Trend Begins Again Today

Temperatures this morning are starting off kinda chilled through the region as we have spent much of the night under clear skies.  Temperatures range from the upper teens in Quakertown to around 30 in Philadelphia, with 20's the "rule" for much of the rest of us.  There are some clouds trying to move on in from the west as the atmosphere begins to warm as high pressure departs into the Atlantic.  We'll generally see a mix of sun and clouds that trends mostly cloudy for the balance of the afternoon.  It will be a milder day despite less sunshine as the wind trajectory will be from the south and southwest, out ahead of a weak atmospheric disturbance that will track through this evening.

Some showers are possible later on this afternoon to our northwest as this system moves in but in many spots this could be little more than a sprinkle since there's not a lot of moisture and not of lot of dynamics aloft to do much more than spit out a few drops of rain as this system moves through.

Breezy conditions will set up from midday on, with south to southwest breezes consistently in the 10 to 15 mile per hour range but gusts will exceed 20 or 25 on occasion.  Those "milder" breezes will bump temperatures this afternoon to around 50 for many north of town, low 50's city and south.  Today marks the first of a few mild days, with temperatures making a run at 60 tomorrow and quite possibly into the 60's on Thursday and Friday.
