Shaping Up As Mild Monday

It's clear and kinda cold this morning through the region -- temperatures are in the teens in the coldest parts of our region, 20's everywhere else under starlit skies.   We are setting up for a mild afternoon once the sun pops up after 7 AM as west to southwest breezes around 10 miles per hour help nudge the thermometer over 50 degrees across the Delaware Valley under a mainly sunny sky through the course of the day.  Some high clouds are possible in the afternoon as a weak storm system shoots up the Atlantic off of the East Coast.  This system will not impact us except throwing some high clouds overhead.

Highest temperatures by day's end should range from around 50 in the Lehigh Valley to 55 or so across South Jersey and Delaware, with Philly getting to 54 or so for a high temperature.  Highs will ultimately be about 10-15 degrees above average for this time of the year, continuing our mild streak of "winter" that has been with us for the better part of the past two weeks.  We'll have another mild day tomorrow as well as a cool front crosses the region and starts us on a slow trend down towards more typical February weather later on this week.
