Windy Until Sunset
After morning snow squalls, this afternoon is already quite windy. The strongest winds of the entire wind advisory period have begun and will continue through the late afternoon. Winds should begin to diminish after sunset.
Sustained winds of 20 to 35 MPH, with frequent wind gusts in the 35 to 50 MPH range appear likely in the meantime. We have seen an uptick in the power outage numbers since the afternoon began and those numbers should increase until the howling winds subside.
Primarily north of the city, a few snow flurries and snow showers will continue.
