Showers Move In Later Today

With temperatures starting off on a cool note today, we're not going to warm up a whole lot.  Expect afternoon highs in the middle and upper 50's throughout the region -- with those highs likely in the mid afternoon hours.   Philly's projected high will be around 57.  We should start off sunny for a while this morning before clouds increase from the west in advance of a system that will cross the region late this afternoon through Sunday morning.  Shower chances will increase from west to east towards dinner, with showers likely during the early evening hours in the region.

This does not look like a huge event -- another one of those tenth or two type systems that we've had a few of as of late.  However, the dampness and the shower activity will make the evening hours particularly raw as temperatures fall back with precipitation falling around the region.

The good news is that winds will be a good bit lighter today than yesterday -- generally on the order of 5 to 10 miles per hour from the west and northwest.  It will help ease the chill a bit but as clouds increase, it's not going to feel all that warm out through the course of today.
