Sunny but Windy

Temperatures this morning are not too bad as most areas are in the upper 40's, with a few spots in the low 50's.  We'll see highs today very similar to yesterday well top out in the mid 60's, with areas furthest  north a few degrees cooler.  Lots of sunshine is expected and will mainly be cloud free this morning.  However, we'll see some clouds develop during the afternoon.

The big story today will be the wind.  The winds will be very gusty, especially this afternoon.  Westerly winds of 20-25 mph will be expected with gusts over 30 mph.  Yet again, Red Flag Warnings are flying for the entire area with the gusty winds and low humidity values(below 30%) and thus the fire danger will be elevated.  Any fires could quickly spread if uncontrolled.

A large vortex, i.e. upper level low, is situated over Southeastern Canada and will remain in place for the next several days.  This will bring a reinforcing shot of some colder air starting tomorrow.  Temperatures will be in the 50's for the next few days.  A shortwave embedded within the large upper low will drive through the area tonight and tomorrow.  This will bring the threat of a few rain showers.  If you can stand the wind, enjoy today, because the next few days will have a chill in the air.
