Feeling Like Summer

Its going to be a hot one for your Memorial Day Holiday.  Temperatures as of 7am are in the mid 60's across most areas, and closer to 70 degrees as you get closer to the city.  An excessive heat warning has been issued by the National Weather Service, as temperatures will reach the 90-degree mark and heat indicies will be in the lower 90's.  For anyone going be doing activities outside today, make sure to stay cool and drink plenty of liquids(mainly water) to stay hydrated.  The areas under this warning are for the city of Philadelphia and counties in Eastern PA and NJ surrounding the ciy.

Will will generally be light from the West.  It will mainly be sunny with a few clouds from time to time.  As we go into the evening hours, after 5pm, there will be a chance for a thunderstorm, with a more widespread chance towards sunset.  Not all areas will see thunderstorms, but the ones that do will see brief heavy rainfall, some gusty winds and lightning.
