Some parts of the region have picked up some decent rains so far -- Atlantic City has over an inch of rain through 5 PM, with Philly getting over three tenths of an inch. More showers are on their way for areas south and southeast of the city this evening and tonight, with the city and perhaps parts of the Pennsylvania suburbs getting a round of showers later on.
Radar shows most of the heavier rainfall across Virginia at this point, moving east and northeast. The majority of that rainfall will slide harmlessly to the south of Philadelphia. However, showers are falling out near Harrisburg and to the south into Maryland -- those showers will track east into our region in the next couple of hours and pass through during the evening. Showers shouldn't amount to terribly much...they might be briefly steadier across South Jersey's suburban areas but the majority of steadier rain should be in Delaware and Extreme South Jersey later this evening.
