Temperatures this morning start off in the mid 60's for most areas, but closer to 70 around Philadelphia. Its going to be a hot one today, and will be the warmest day we've seen in the past week. The good thing is that humidity values will not be high, so it will not feel that oppressive, despite temperatures reaching the 90-degree mark. Northern areas should remain in the mid to upper 80's, which areas that do hit 90 degrees, will be from Philadelphia and points south.
It will be a sunny day, but there is a threat of an isolated thunderstorm, during the afternoon and evening hours. There is a back door could front that will be dropping south, throughout the day. It will make its way through northern areas during the day and into the Delmarva by evening. This is what could trigger a shower or thunderstorm. A light west wind to start, once the front passes through, wind should remain light, but switch to a northerly direction.
