Hot for the 4th/Thunderstorm possible

Happy 4th of July!  We start out this morning with some weather occurring across the area.  A line of thunderstorms is affecting coastal areas of NJ, which will soon move off the coast.  There is also a line of showers affecting areas of NJ and eastern PA as well.  These should clear the area within the next two hours, and then we'll be left with sunny skies with a mix of clouds as well.

Temperatures are much warmer this morning versus yesterday, with many areas in the low to mid 70's.  Its going to be a hot one today and an excessive heat warning will go into effect at 11am for the city and surrounding counties in NJ and PA.  Heat indicies will reach 100 degrees today.  For all who have holiday festivities going on, please drink plenty of fluids and stay cool.  This heat wave will continue for the next several days, with even hotter temperatures coming over the next few days.

There will be a threat for afternoon and evening thunderstorms.  It will not be anything widespread but with some instability around and the heating of the day, a few thunderstorms could pop-up in some spots.
