July 12th, 2012 Forecast

A relatively quiet 48 hours of weather is taking over the region.  Skies will be mainly sunny both Thursday and Friday with tolerable humidity levels and temperatures flirting with 90 each afternoon away from the ocean's influence.

Tonight will feature partly cloudy skies after any evening shower threat north of the city, with temperatures by morning ranging from the lower 60's in the traditional cool spots outside of the city to around 70 in Center City and at the Shore. Thursday features highs generally between 87 and 90 inland, lower to middle 80's at the Shore with light winds both tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow looks dry by and large -- while a shower can't completely be ruled out north of the city the vast majority of us look to be dry tomorrow...and again Friday.

That will change on Saturday and especially on Sunday with a disturbance moving through, plentiful moisture in place, and scattered storms in the area.  The weekend won't be a total washout but there looks to be a thunder threat at times.
