July 13th, 2012 Forecast
We have another relatively quiet day on tap for Friday before the tap opens up this weekend with thunderstorms in the region. Despite the relative quiet, it will be warm out as temperatures reach or exceed 90 degrees in much of the region. Heat won't be overly excessive though despite the warmth and increasing humidity...heat index values should hang in the mid 90's tomorrow at the worst of the heat.
Lows tonight range from the mid 60's in the cooler burbs to the lower 70's along I-95, fairly similar to last night but perhaps a degree or two warmer in spots. Most of us tomorrow should see highs in the lower 90's, with the exception to that being the Shore (mid 80's).
Thunderstorms are possible both Saturday and Sunday as a disturbance tracks into the Northeast. This disturbance will be responsible for a humid, summery weekend with the potential for scattered thunder that could bring localized downpours either afternoon, with Sunday featuring a bit deeper moisture than Saturday and perhaps a slightly better chance of heavy rains within any thunderstorms that do pop. Note that the weekend won't be a total washout but it won't be perfectly dry for most of us either!
