Sun and Clouds/Afternoon T'Storms

As of 7am, temperatures across the regiona are in the upper 60's to around 70.  A mix of clouds and sunshine will be the story for the morning hours, but as we get into the aftenoon, there will be an increasing threat of showers and thunderstorms.  There is a weak cold front approaching the area.  However, it will dissipating; nonetheless, that and some mid-level impulses will be enough to trigger some convection.  Areas north and west of Philadelphia and Northeast PA are in a slight risk for severe weather today and those areas see the best chance at seeing thunderstorms.  The main threats with these storms will be heavy rain and gusty winds.  General coverage is still a bit uncertain, but be prepared should a thunderstorm hit your area.

Temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 80's, with some areas getting close to 90 degrees, especially in Delaware.  Winds will be out of the southest at 5-10 mph and it will feel a big muggy and tropical.  Over the next two days, we will begin to dry out more with less of a chance of seeing any precipation.  Right now, Wednesday looks like the best day of the week with lots of sunshine.  So if your looking for a day trip to the beach, go with that one.
