August 23rd, 2012 Forecast

A few days of seasonable warmth are en route for the region.  While we're going to be warm, not terribly hot, and perhaps make a run at 90 on Friday or even Saturday, humidity values are modest and it generally feels pretty nice outside although warm in the afternoons.

Tonight may have a stray shower or storm through sunset although any shower or storm would be isolated in coverage.  After sunset, low clouds and fog are possible in some locations towards sunrise...otherwise, clear to partly cloudy skies will be common.  Lows will be in the 50's in the coolest burbs north of town, 60's elsewhere.

Thursday's temperatures will get into the mid, perhaps upper 80's across the region with mostly sunny skies once any morning fog burns off.  Should end up being a really nice...although warmish afternoon.

There's a bit of uncertainty in our forecast for the middle of next week, dependent on the track of Isaac and how it or any remnant moisture track.  Some GFS runs try to throw some moisture into the region from Isaac by next Wednesday night -- given the storm is still a week away there will probably be some model waffling before we get a better idea on where the storm will track.  That said, an approaching front will bring a chance of showers and storms to the region on Tuesday and put an end to the nice stretch of weather.
