August 24th, 2012 Forecast

Tonight: Mostly clear, although there will be scattered high cloudiness. Dew points will slowly rise overnight which will lead to patchy fog developing in the cooler suburbs. Low in the upper 60s in Philadelphia...low to mid 60s in the suburbs. Winds will be light and variable. The sunset tonight is at 7:45 PM.

Friday: Mostly sunny and very warm with a few high clouds passing through from time to time. It may feel muggy to start but dew points will slowly drop through the morning, so the afternoon will feel "comfortable" if you can deal with high temperatures near 90. Winds will be variable at 3 to 8 mph.

Saturday: Unfortunately, I had to throw a few showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for the weekend. Low pressure looks like it will beat out the previously forecast high pressure. Due to this, I also had to lower high temperatures. Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High in the low 80s.

Sunday: Mix of sun and clouds, 30 percent chance of a few showers and thunderstorms. High near 85.

We'll be watching "Issac" by the middle to end of next week. If it tracks toward the Delaware Valley, it will probably arrive here Wednesday night or Thursday morning. The biggest impact would be rain and thunder. I'm not worried too much about wind as it would be a weak storm by that point.
