Other than the low clouds and patchy fog around, it's a nice start in the region. Temperatures in the 60's and it's a pleasant late August morning. The low clouds and fog in place should lift gradually later this morning, leaving us a mix of sun and clouds if not mostly sunny skies by midday and for this afternoon. There is a slight chance of a shower, mostly south and southwest of the city, this afternoon as a weak disturbance slides through the Appalachians and towards the Delmarva. I don't think there's much of a shot of showers up here but a few are possible down towards DC, perhaps across Southern Delaware this evening.
Highs this afternoon will get into the lower and middle 80's in most locations, probably the best shot at mid 80's resides in the city today but there isn't much appreciable difference between 81 and 83. On the whole, it's going to shape up as a very nice afternoon for the vast majority of the region.
