Mostly Cloudy/Shower Possible

Overcast skies dominant this morning.  These clouds are due to a low-pressure system off the coastal waters of VA.  The rain has moved off shore and this system will continue to move farther out to sea and away from the area.  It should remain cloudy for the most part this morning, but some breaks of sunshine will occur during the afternoon.  Areas north and west of the city and over parts of Northeast PA/Northern NJ are most likely to see the most sunshine today, with coastal areas seeing the most clouds.

An upper-level trough will be approaching the region as well today, during the aftenoon.  This will help to spark off some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two.  It will mainly be scattered in nature and not widespread.  High temperatures today will top off in the upper 70's to near 80 degrees.  The areas that get the most sunshine will see the highest temperatures.  Winds will be light, mainly from the easterly direction.
