Showers and Thunderstorms Again

As of 7am, there are showers and thunderstorms moving through parts of the region, over parts of Eastern PA, just west of the city and also a few showers over Southern NJ.  These are moving Northeast and will affect northern areas over the next few hours.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day today as mid-level low pressure area that has given us the rain over the weekend will dissipate and get absorbed by a cold front that will be moving through the region.  Both features will help to spark the rain threat for today.  While we will see some sun at times, expect a lot of clouds with temperatures in the upper 70's to lower 80's.  Winds will be easterly this morning, before switching to a southerly direction later this afternoon.

Today should be the last day for widespread precipitation as things will dry out through the work week.  And a nice week weatherwise is on tap with lots of sunshine from Wednesday through Friday.
