An Overall Nice Day Ahead

Mostly clear skies dominate the Delaware Valley early this morning -- just a few high clouds out there.  While there's a northeast flow at the surface off of the Atlantic, the airmass aloft is pretty dry so low clouds and fog this morning may be somewhat limited as we work towards sunrise.  If any low clouds or valley fog do develop, it should lift quickly as the sun works through the sky.

Temperatures this morning are in the 50's in the city and along the coast, with 40's to the north and northwest of Philadelphia and in parts of New Jersey.  With a good deal of sunshine expected today, we should see temperatures jump into the middle 70's by day's end for high temperatures.

After any fog and low cloudiness burn off, the mainly sunny skies will transition to a mix of sun and mid to high level cloudiness.  You can see some of that cloudiness edging into Virginia on satellite up above.  Those clouds will push up northeast from the South and will generally hang along and east of 95 this afternoon but not completely obscure the sky.
