Its cloudy and a bit breezy to start off Labor Day this morning. Temperatures as of 7am are in the low to middle 70's with northern locations a few degrees cooler. The holiday will not be so nice as there will be lots of clouds and periods of rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. Currently, there are areas already seeing the rain. This area is confined to northern Delaware and Southwest New Jersey where a few thunderstorms are slowly moving north. Any storms that do develop today will be slow moving and with a very moist air-mass in place, the main threat today will be the potential for heavy rainfall. Not all areas will see rain, but any storms that do develop could put down some heavy downpours and a quick inch or two of rain.
The rain is all thanks to the remnants of Isaac that will continue to move through the region today and into tomorrow. We'll start to dry out later in the week.
