High clouds will increase this afternoon and tonight will be partly cloudy. There is a very slight chance of an isolated shower, especially in the southern half of the region.
Weather conditions should deteriorate as we end the holiday weekend. A frontal boundary will stall just to our south and allow waves of energy to produce showers and thunderstorms across our region from Sunday through Thursday. Some of this activity will be enhanced due to Isaac’s remnants getting caught up into the system. While it will not be raining all of the time, some scattered heavy downpours are quite possible. Some of the thunderstorms could train over the same areas leading to flash flooding. We will watch it for you this week. Expect mostly cloudy to overcast skies when it is not raining.
