Slightly Disturbed Start

It's mild and a bit showery out there this morning. A low pressure center in the atmosphere is tracking across Eastern Pennsylvania and is bringing areas of showers to parts of the region as it moves through. The most numerous shower activity is to our north this morning as this disturbance pushes northeast. Expect areas of showers through mid morning around the region -- none of which will be terribly heavy but will keep things damp on some of the area roadways for the morning rush.

Once this initial burst of energy pushes through, we should see a mix of clouds and sun through the afternoon hours. A few showers are still possible as we work towards dinner, especially north and east of the city as the front associated with the disturbance lingers through the area.  While there are better chances of showers north of the city we don't rule out potential showers in any one spot -- the odds favor north and east though for now.  Temperatures today will vary a good bit by location -- lower 70's with additional cloud cover over the Lehigh Valley, lower 80's over Delaware and South Jersey with a bit more sunshine, mid and upper 70's in between.  We're projecting 77 for Philadelphia this afternoon.

The shower threat may linger into the evening hours in some locations but with the front associated with this morass of disturbed weather sliding farther away from us, we should see that threat for showers diminish gradually.
