There isn't a lot of wind out there early this morning but yesterday's rains have cleared the coast, with variably cloudy skies around the region at this hour. Temperatures are generally in the 50's in many locations at 4 AM, probably will dip a few more before sunrise, before we trudge our way into the lower and middle 60's throughout the region for this afternoon. In Philadelphia, we're expecting a high of 65 degrees this afternoon with generally mostly sunny skies for the course of the day.
Winds will pick up later on this morning, gust to 20 mph at times, before slackening off towards sunset. While the wind won't be a huge issue, it will help keep a cool reminder in place that the calendar does in fact say October and it will feel rather October-like out there through the course of the day despite the bright sunshine. The strongest wind gusts will likely occur through midday before winds ease a little bit as we work through the afternoon.
