Friday Night Lights Forecast - Week 8

While we've had mostly dry Fridays for high school football, some areas may see some super-soakers this week as the last bit of from a frontal systems departs our area.  The good part is most everyone will be under mostly cloudy skies, but there are a few locations that could see some showers lingering.  In and around the metro, temperatures will start off in the mid-60's and drop to around 60-degrees by the time the games end.  Skies will be mostly cloudy to start and gradually become less cloudy.  There is a chance of scattered rain showers as well.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Towards the north and west, I feel like skies might be clearing earlier, with less of a chance of rain.  However, I don't feel comfortable taking out rain chances altogether.  Temperatures will start in the lower 60's around kickoff and drop into the upper 50's by the time you're hopefully celebrating a win.  Winds will also be calmer - still out of the southwest around 5 mph.

On the flipside, I think showers may stick around to the south and east a little longer.  These areas will see mostly cloudy skies with small, short-termed showers.  Temperatures should hover around the mid- to lower 60's, under more clouds.  Again, winds will be out of the west-southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
