Heavy Rain Over Northern Burbs For PM Rush
Over the next couple of hours, this batch of steady to heavy rain will push east and east-northeast across the northern suburbs. Rainfall rates could reach an inch in the heaviest parts of the band, which will fall along and just north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Coatesville, for instance, picked up nearly two-thirds of an inch of rain this afternoon through 4 PM. No flood advisories are out but with fallen leaves over some drains there could be localized ponding of water along side streets...that should be about it as far as flooding threat.
Behind this shield of rain, there is very little activity and this will pretty much mark the end of the precipitation from this storm system. A quiet night is in store, with breezes picking back up later this evening after the front finishes moving through. Winds could gust to 20 mph overnight.
