Less Humidity, Nicer Weather Ahead

A much improved and a less humid weekend is on tap in the wake of yesterday's humid and, at times, soaking weather.  We're still mild to start the day -- temperatures in the 50's for the most part this morning, and we will end up on a mild note this afternoon with high temperatures in the mid or upper 60's depending on location.

Sky cover this morning is mostly clear and we'll spend the day with a varied mix of clouds and sun...but probably with a bit more sunshine than cloud cover.  It certainly will be sunnier than yesterday on the whole.

Last night's line of showers and storms faded as it approached the city after 10 PM but not before causing some damage in parts of Lancaster County, collapsing a barn and mobile home in two separate storm incidents in the county.  However, it did produce a heavy round of rain across Berks and Lancaster Counties, bringing a quick quarter inch of rain as the mini squall moved through.   No squall lines, no tornado warnings expected today -- but a few showers can't be ruled out north of I-80 later on as the mid level low associated with this storm complex rambles through New York State and fires up a few showers later on.
