Off & On Showers This Morning, Muggy Start

It's a muggy and murky morning out there -- fog north and west of the city, humidity everywhere, and showers on the march through Virginia towards our region.  Temperatures are in the middle 60's north of Philadelphia, around or just above 70 south of the city at this early hour.

We'll deal with showers this morning, some of which may be locally soaking in spots as there's plenty of moisture in the atmosphere.  These will work northeast through the region from their 4 AM position in South Central Pennsylvania south to Virginia, passing through the Delaware Valley through the midday or even early afternoon hours before pulling away.  These showers are in association with a cool front that is to our west and will cross the region over the course of the day.

Temperatures may not rise much this morning, hampered by showers and clouds through midday.  The city and south will be warmest today -- possibly reaching 80 late this afternoon, with 70's to our north.  It may take until mid afternoon to get some solid clearing in from the west, with humidity also taking a solid pounding after the front crosses through.  Until then, enjoy the clouds, scattered rounds of showers, and the occasional downpour that goes with them.
