High pressure anchored over New England and Southeastern Canada will provide a nice day with a mix of clouds and sunshine. The clouds will be from a storm system off the coast of the Carolinas. This will stay well offshore of the mid-atlantic states as it slowly moves Northeast over the open Atlantic. But with the low and high in close proximity to each other, we'll see a bit of a breezy day, with a cool wind off the ocean from the Northeast.
Temperatures will mainly reach the upper 40's in northern sections to the lower 50's in southern sections. The tendency will be for more clouds to the south and less north from the low-pressure area passing well south and east today.
