Its a cold morning as temperatures across the region are in the mid to upper 30's. A few spots have reached or gone below the freezing mark. Highs today will be around 10 degrees below normal temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 40's. There will be a slight breeze out of the northwest around 10 mph.
Sunshine with a few clouds will be the rule today. The colder than normal weather is due to a deep trough over the Eastern US, as a huge ridge is entrenched over the western states. This will stay in place for the next several days. A potential Nor-easter may develop around mid-week as two waves of energy may merge together. This will have to be watched and more updates will follow as the details get more clear.
