Recap Of October 2012

October 2012 finished at 59.4 degrees for an average temperature, 1.9 degrees above the current norm.  It wasn't the warmest October on record nor was it even in the top 20 for warm Octobers...but it continued the streak of above average temperatures around here to fourteen consecutive months.  In fact, November 2011-October 2012 is the warmest twelve month stretch on record (59.42 degrees, besting 59.38 set from April 2011 to March 2012).

Rainfall for the month at the Airport was 4.08" -- less than an inch above average.  Over three inches of that fell from Sandy and locally, that rainfall total paled in comparison to the amounts in Wilmington (6.25") and Atlantic City (8.09")...which picked up substantially more rain from Sandy than the rest of us or in Reading (8.23") and Allentown (5.13")...which picked up more rain from other storm events during the course of October.
